You might need to regenerate SLA data for issues from time to time. 

Escalation services execute JQL and regenerate SLA data for the issues that are returned by this query. You can set a time interval (how often the escalation service will be triggered) by cron expression.


On this page, you will learn how to:

  • Create an escalation service.
  • Update an escalation service.
  • Delete an escalation service.

1. Log into your Jira account.

2. Click on Time to SLA in the header menu to see the TTS menu.

3. Go to Settings.

4. The Settings page will appear.

5. Click on the Escalation Services tab.

6. Click New Service.

7. The SLA Regeneration Escalation Service screen will pop-up.

8. Create a Unique Name.

9. Enter a JQL that filters issues which you want to regenerate SLA data for.

10. Enter a Cron Expression for how often you want to regenerate SLA data.

11. Click Save.

12. The new service will now appear in the list.


Update an escalation service

1. Go to Settings > Escalation Services.

2. Click  in the row of the escalation service that you want to update.

3. The SLA Regeneration Escalation Service screen will pop-up.

4. Repeat steps described above in set up an escalation service.


Delete an escalation service

1. Go to Settings > Escalation Services.

2. Click  in the row of the escalation service that you want to delete.

The escalation service is deleted instantly with no confirmation when you click the icon.
