How to update status system fields
Let’s say you are using a List Box attribute as Asset Status. With the AIP v7.0 Status field is a default system field of assets. So you can move your Asset Status to Status system field.
In this article, we will show you two examples of defining system field status from the existing List Box(Status) field.
In the first example, we will define Status(system) 'In Use' of assets that 'Deployed' option is selected in the List Box(Status) attribute.
In the second example, we will define Status(system) 'In Stock' and Substatus(system) 'Available' of assets that 'Ready to use' option is selected in List Box(Status) attribute.
The new way of defining status
Search assets that asset status is ‘Deployed’.
Click Update All from Bulk operations menu.
Select Status(system) then click Continue
Select ‘In use’ in Status select list then click Continue
Click Update to perform update
Then it is time to see update process on Bulk operations status pop-up
When process is completed we can see our List Box (Status) field is moved to Status(system) field.
Search assets that asset status is ‘Ready to use’.
Click Update All from Bulk operations menu.
Select Status(system) then click Continue
Select ‘In stock’ in Status select list and select ‘Available’ in Substatus select list then click Continue
Click Update to perform update
Then it is time to see update process on Bulk operations status pop-up
When process is completed we can see our List Box (Status) field is moved to Status(system) field.
